For professionals – an affordable way to play a top-quality instrument is to lease/rent an instrument from Nicholson Violins. These are of the same very high quality as the instruments that are available to buy.
These bespoke, hand-selected and master-crafted instruments create an enviable sound and are stunningly beautiful.
We will be very pleased to welcome you to Ely in Cambridgeshire to try out the instruments.
Please complete our contact form if you want to enquire about rental.
For parents – If your child is learning the violin, viola or cello, you will soon see that they will benefit from a high-quality instrument. If you are investing substantial sums in lessons, it makes sense to support that fully by giving your child an instrument that they will be proud to play. If you lease an instrument, it comes with a full “biography” explaining every step in its creation, so your child gets to understand the art and science of the instrument that generates the notes and volume of their music-making.
We will be very pleased to welcome you to Ely in Cambridgeshire to try out the instruments, or we do take instruments to school concerts where we give a short introduction to how the instruments are made, as well as giving the opportunity to try playing them. Why not suggest to your child’s school that they could invite us to the next school orchestra concert?
Rental agreements with Nicholson Violins usually also come with the option subsequently to purchase the instrument, with a proportion of the rental fees being offset against the purchase price.
